In the winter we try to get out snowshoeing a lot. It usually ends up being on Saturdays. A couple of Saturdays ago was our first time going snowshoeing this year, and I couldn't wait to try out my new boots that Chase got me for Christmas. Unfortunately, I was a little rusty, and Chase got this shot of me:
Hm. I really need to figure out how to turn these. Anyone? They look right in my iPhoto, then when I go to upload them, they're turned...
Well, we did have a lot of fun, and we really weren't turned sideways the whole time. Millcreek Canyon is beautiful right now, completely covered in snow but with the river still running. I'd recommend going up there to check it out. We also went snowshoeing in Farmington Canyon recently, and took our sleds. Chase rode his off a cliff:
To infinity and beyond!

Holidays with the Raymonds
Well, we're officially the Raymond family. And it will be even more official in April or so, when I actually change my name. Here are two photos of us from the holidays:
How do you get these things to turn the right way? Anyway, this is what could have been a very nice, yet very cheesy Christmas card photo, had we taken it more than 3 days before Christmas. If you can't tell, we're in front of the "R" in California Adventure.
And, New Year's. Things got pretty crazy (you know, with the Martinelli's...) This is after we broke open the pinata AND stuffed our mouths with chewing gum. Somebody remind me to post pictures of that later.

Cruising
We spent our honeymoon aboard the Monarch of the Seas. I know, I know, it's hard to believe, but this IS as wonderful as it sounds. You can't beat traveling to exotic locations like San Diego, Catalina Island, and Ensenada, Mexico! Seriously, though, this was our first cruise, and we ended up loving it. For those of you who think that cruises are just self-indulgent, sit-around-and-stuff-your-face fests, well...they can be. But for us, it was a good balance of relaxation and adventure, as you can see:
First we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
Next, it was on to Catalina Island. It rained that day, but we still had a great day sea kayaking. A little cold though. And we didn't see any dolphins, which I really wanted to... :(
We only took one picture in Mexico. I think this pretty much explains it.
And, my personal favorite, the "Meatier Shower". SICK! This is what happens when McDonald's infiltrates Disneyland.

Catching up...
Okay, so I know it's been forever since I posted anything. There's really no excuse. Except for that I haven't had a reliable internet connection at home for the last several months...oh yeah, and...I GOT MARRIED! So, I've been a little busy. But I'll fill you in on all the details.
The dress...
The dinner venue...Log Haven (isn't it beautiful?)
The groom...and the dancing!
I will post more pictures when I get them. Actually, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post them at all, since they're from my photographer's site...you can check out more at: http://threewinksstudio.blogspot.com
It was the best wedding day ever. Which is lucky, since it'll be my only wedding day ever!
